_____________

The A2A Network has been in existence since 1999 and has grown to become a national forum for people interested in improving access to acute hospital care for people with learning disabilities.

There is a wealth of knowledge, experience and commitment by members and all are signed up to the principle of networking and sharing good practice by:-

  • Improving Communication
  • Accessible Information
  • Increase Service User Involvement
  • Involving other services and increasing links
  • Raising Awareness
  • Changing/Adapting Protocols and Strategies
  • Advice, Guidance and networking opportunities
  • Support

The National Network meets four times a year in different locations, enabling a wider group of people to join the meetings.  Regional groups have been established which disseminate “good practice” further.
